Top Projects:

  • Origami Project Page

    • I chose this project because it is one of the best projects I have done since I made a skateboard. I really like this project because I got to make origami which I wanted to do ever since I saw someone make a origami crane. This marking period I made a lot of progress since last quarter. I was able to make harder origami and attempt harder origami. I was able to make 3 more ad start to make a hard dragon. I learned that I have patience for origami because I really like when I finish a new origami. thsi project has taught me a lot of things I never would have figured out before. Some things have been changing though making origami is pretty hard because you need to to get every fold right. This is a perfect project for me because it is hard and easy.

  • Origami Project Page
    • I chose this project because it is my favorite project I have done in thinkering class. I like this project because I get to make origami and I learned that I really like to make origami. This project is a really good place between hard and easy so when I get better at making things I can chose harder stuff. I was challenged at the start of this project because I could not make a single piece of origami and that was really frustrating but then I got better and I started to make things out of origami. I learned how to make 3 different origami projects so far and I am trying to make 10 st the end of my project. This project is the perfect mix of easy and hard.

  • Ferris wheel project
    • I chose this project because it was a lot of fun. We made a Ferris wheel out of cardboard and used little bits (little electronics that connect by magnets) to the piece of cardboard. We were challenged when we tried to cup the cardboard with scissors which didn't work to well so we asked if we could use a x-acto knife. This project was not to hard and not to easy.

  • Skateboard
    • I chose this project because it was the best project I had done and it was a lot of fun. This was a good project because it taught me a lot of things like how to cut wood and how to put wheels on a skateboard. This was a lot of fun because I got to spend time with David and do things I really liked like cutting wood. I also learned how to measure things and how to make the exact cuts and how to make sure the dimensions are perfect. I really liked making a skateboard because I always wanted to ride a skateboard.
  • Skateboard
    • I chose this project because it seemed fun to make a skateboard. I also really like to work with wood and I always wanted to ride a skateboard. I also know this project is going to teach me how to make stuff with power tools. I also get to do this with David one of my friends. One of the hardest things that me and David did is choosing what dimensions we wanted for our skateboards, also we had to find the right wheels for our skateboards we wanted.

  • Gamestar Mechanic Project Page
    • I chose this project because this was a fun project where I could make games. This was a good project for me because i enjoyed it and it was where I could play games people made and where i could make my own games. This project was really good to make me think about making games that weren't to difficult but also not to easy. My favorite thing about this project was that I got to play other peoples games. The hardest thing about this project was that I had to make interesting games.
  • Pillow Making XAC1
    • I thought this was a great project because I put a lot of effort into it and it taught me a lot of things like... How to tie a knot with thread also how to sew in general. I also learned that sewing takes a while if you want something good out of it. This project was also really fun when I got into it and when i was close to finishing it. I hope in my future I hope that I do more related.

Top Critiques:

  • You could try to to make a small board game like tic-tac-toe with little pieces and the board. You could paint the pieces and the board.
    • I chose this critique because it was the most helpful critique that I made this quarter. I also chose this because Gavin actually followed my advice. I also like this because Gavin also painted the pieces of his tic-tac-toe board. this critique is the critique that took me the most time to write about and because of that Gavin followed my advice. My last reaso that I chose this critique is that i

  • You might want to use a voice over to add talking to make your stop animation more realistic. Also you might want to use minifigures they will work better with the voice overs.
