scratch 1.1

  • scratch animation_test
    • I liked this project because it showed the challenges of making a cut seen in games. It was hard at first but with better understanding and FAILURE, I was able to make the animation_test. The ONLY REASONS why it took 2 months to finish was I had to do the SCRATCH ADVENTURES IN PROGRAMMING GAMES, and 2, I tried to make the background and sprites as detailed as I could make them, like the orb and the work space that studies the orb. I think that in order to make the project better and faster to complete, I needed less of the SCRATCH ADVENTURES IN PROGRAMMING projects to work on.
    • I did not finish this project because it was hard for me to get ideas for a game on Gamestar mechanic and getting blocks and sprites seemed like a challenge to me. Some the bonus levels in the story where too hard for me and all I got where backgrounds. Backgrounds! I didn't even know how to place backgrounds until I decided to quit! Overall, I think this project was a bad idea for me and I should go back to scratch. Scratch is easy for me.
  • Scratch 101 (plat former)
    • I think this is a good project because it was nice to make a project I have never done, tried, or remixed. The only problem was how to make the ball jump and come down and jump again instead of flying in the air. it was hard to program at first, but after seeing other game scripts, it was super easy to program and publish. I even added some things of my own! over all, I think scratching was a excellent choice!

    • I think I did the right thing because I can get ideas easly on scratch unlike Gamestar. If I want a bacround, it will be easy to put on unlike gametar, because it never showed how to after it showed me how when I started, and I quickly forgot about it. and the last thing I have to say is that on game star, I cant publish a edited template, how rude. Overall, gamestar is not the game for me.
    • that the damage block is a good idea to put in a game
    • the energy rule will make my game even harder when I get it.
    • it will still be hard to make a game

    • this was a good reflection because it [kind of] helped me get ideas for what my game layout and what your character flaw is. the damage block will help make the game harder by damaging the player when he/she steps on it, and even better is that I can adjust the damage the block does. so I can make it a one-shot killer, or a FAKE damage block [OK, maybe a fake damage block because I don't know if that works or not.]same thing with the energy rule, it will make the game harder. but I still kept on telling myself this wont be easy.
  • What if I...
    • Change title name?
    • add details to the sprites?
    • make the maps different?

    • I think this was a good reflections because it told me what to do to make the game better or good in all cases. making the maps different could make the game either better or worse. if I change the title name, it will either make the game more popular or less popular. and making the sprites more detailed would make the sprites cooler or more ugly.
