  • Project 4 DIYer Slime and Stress Ball
    • This project was a great way to learn something new. This was the project that we presented at the Maker Faire. I think that the people who came to our station learned new things too! For example, we explained how borax slime is not bad if you desolve it is water. I learned that slime sticks to certain people's hands. I believe it is because it will stick to you if your hands are hot. This project is very fun and I will probrably do more projects like this one.
  • Project 1 DIYer
    Duct Tape Wallet
    • thought this project was great, because it taught me something new. It taught me to post photos onto wikis and to not rush and be patient . Being patient was usually very hard for me because I would like to just rush. At first I didn't like duct tape because you had to be very patient, but since I did this project I really like Duct Tape.

  • Project 2 DIYer Slime.
    • I thought this project was a great way for me to learn things new. Materials for slime are very cheap and you probably have most of the ingredients at home. This project taught me about the chemical reaction that turns the glue into slime. I use Laundry Detergent, because if you put too much borax in water it will turn into a big clump. This project also taught me how to make a YouTube channel, how to upload the videos to YouTube, and how to edit videos. I think that science related projects are cool and fun

  • Project 3 DIYer Slime.
    • This project was a great way for me to learn things. First of all, I found out that Borax, Laundry Detergent, and Liquid starch are bad for you skin. So my partner and I did some research on some slime recipes that did not include Borax, Laundry Detergent, and Liquid starch. The one we ended up using was, Shaving Cream, Glue, and contact solution. Since I did this project I find science projects very interesting.

Top Reflections

  • What was the Easiest what was the hardest why?
The easiest thing was making slime and video taping. it is easy because it was not time consuming.
The hardest thing was editing my videos. It was hard because my partner and I wanted to make a better video.
    • I chose this reflection because it shows a few of my failures. Also, if I look back at the hardest things, I can try to learn how to do it better in the future. On the bright side, this reflection taught me something new! We found out that the Camera app helps you put videos together so it looks good!

  • What was the easiest what was the hardest why?
The easiest thing was making the slime, we found liquid starch was very helpful when making slime. But, I soon found out that it was bad for your skin. It contained Borax, Bleach, etc. The hardest part was finding a recipe that didn't use Borax, Laundry Detergent, or Liquid Starch. But luckily there is one method we found. Shaving Cream, Glue, and Contact solution
    • I chose this reflection because I learned a lot of stuff. I learned that Borax, Laundry Detergent, and Liquid starch was bad for your skin. I found a new method for making slime that will no affect your skin.

  • What was The Easiest? what was the most challenging? why?
The Easiest part of our project was making the slime, because we found a way to make slime good every time, Detergent! we used Tide but the slime was still a bit sticky. The hardest Part was making a YouTube Channel and editing.
    • I chose this reflection, because it taught me new things. For example it taught me about the chemical reaction that turns glue into slime. I learned how to make and edit YouTube videos. And I learned the best way to make slime for me, is to use Laundry Detergent. This reflection is interesting because when I saw the glue clump together into slime when i put Detergent in it. I wanted to find out what was happening. If I had any questions I would go back to this reflection and it would have my answer.
  • One example of a FAILure we had was ...
we put duct tape in the wrong area so we had to redo the step. But since we were working with duct tape sometimes we just had to leave the duct tape in the wrong area . And then we fixed it by puting more duct tape on the areas we messed up on

    • I chose this reflection because it taught me something new. If we ever came into the same problem then we can just look back at this reflection and the problem will be solved.
