Top Projects:

  • Minecraft build w/ Wayne Manor and X-Mansion
    • I chose this project because of how it makes you be creative and use your mind to make cool and eye-popping things. I like to be creative, as it opens your mind to new things, and, I mean, come on, who doesn't like to make cool and eye popping things?! I'm pretty sure everyone likes to make cool and eye-popping things, and I know I like to. So, i thought this would be a really cool project, and I thought that this would test me in the way of my creativity. I guess, though that I was kind of wrong with that thesis, because this wasn't the best project I've ever had, not even close.

  • minecraft build project
    • I chose this project because of how open-ended it is. I can build next to anything, and I can go next to anywhere. This game was meant to spark a little creativity, and that's another thing that I'm going for here. Creativity opens your mind, and that's one big thing I can take away from this project, a lot of Creativity. I think this game also teaches me a little bit on how to be resourceful, and that's another big thing that I can take away from this project, my resourcefulness. I will increase my knowledge of both creativity and resourcefulness on this project.

  • Writing Comic Reviews
    • The biggest reason why I'm doing this project is because I am a huge comic book fan. I love to read them, and I've even written a few! So, I decided to review them, and why stop there with just video reviews? I decided to write a few reviews, so I incorporate writing and LA into the project, because that's one of the things I like to do. But with writing, I use the comic vine reviewing forum. The Good, The Bad, The Verdict. And my intro paragraph is what is going on in this title. So, it works! And it's fun, so that is why I chose this project.
  • Famous Golf Players.ppt
    • The biggest reason why I picked this project is because I enjoy golf, playing it and watching it. I also learned things about Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, and others. Like Tiger Woods shooting a 48 on 9 holes at the age of 3. Also, Arnold Palmer served for the U.S. Coast Guard. I also learned that a golfer was in the Air Force. Either Sam Snead or Ben Hogan. I think it was just cool to put Information from the past into the real world for people everywhere. Especially for people who want to know this info.
  • Kodu &
    • The Reason why I picked this project is because my teacher and a kid in my class recommended it to me. You get to program it to do whatever you want it to do. And this game, I think is all about learning how to program the guy you are controlling to go somewhere and do things. You can program it to move (obviously), jump, shoot, and much more. I recommend this game to whoever likes to program games. Kodu Game Lab was fun.
  • Ultimate Golf Tee Proposal
    • The reason I picked this project was because me and 3 of my friends created it from scratch playing golf together in the summer. And because it was creative. And because creativity is everything, and because this teaches me to do more, and that creativity is really fun.
Gamestar Mechanic Proposal Nate and Chris
The reason I picked this project was because it is creative and allows you to open your mind.
  • Gamestar Mechanic
The reason I picked this project was because this is all in your creativity. And you can do whatever you want. your reach is endless.
  • comic reviewing CWL
    • The reason I chose this project was because I think comics are awesome. And if you can't write or draw 'em, review 'em! I only review DC because they have the better heroes and villains by far. And reviewing them is fun because you get to red the comic, (which is the best part) and then you get to just say what your thoughts are about the comic. It is the best, because I get to do what I love, and then be able to let off steam if the comic was bad or talk about it if the comic was good.
  • 3D printer project
    • The reason I chose this project was because I could put anything on there, so, again, I could use my imagination to do just about anything on this project. I could just put a Lamborghini in to the virtual thing and boom! I could print a small copy out. I could put anything I want in there, even stadiums like the Big House or Joe Louis Arena.Your reach in completely endless. And then, when I print it out, a miniature copy of the outside of The Joe is there. That's awesome, and that's why I chose this project.
  • Go Pro Project
    • The reason I chose this project was because we get to ski and then make an awesome video! I mean, what could top that? Well, nothing, really. Because skiing is awesome, and making videos from skiing is awesome. I can not wait to go out to Utah in 4 weeks and bring my Go Pro so I can make a video of it. And then when I am in blizzards I can do it as well. And the go pro will give an amazing spectacle of what is going on. So, in conclusion, I chose this because it was mainly fun all around.
  • Comic review
    • I chose this project because I read comic books, and sometimes I like to show what I am thinking about when I read the comic. Like either "This book is amazing!" Or "This book absolutely stunk!" I think reviews are the best way to express what you think about the comic or graphic novel. So that is why I had decided to do comic book reviews. I can first read the comic book and then express how I thought about the book, and for me it's a 2 in 1! And that is why I chose this project.
  • Minecraft build
    • I chose this project because of how open ended this project is. I can build any thing from the Burj Khalifa to the Watchtower. And I am not kidding, at all. And it's so awesome! I'm finishing off the X-Mansion, and it's really cool. I also chose this because it's a game, where you get to channel your creativity into something bigger, something better. And that's really cool. And I get to build stuff.

Top Reflections:
  • I was able to complete the task of finishing the top of wayne manor, and finishing the lighting inside of the manor. My friend Logan helped a bit, so thanks to Logan. I was able to complete everything through being very determined, and being problem-solving. I was able to complete the video as well, through my hard work and determination. I did very well this week.
    • I chose this reflection because it showed that I had made great progress in my build project. This shows why I was working very well, as it also displays my Hard Work and Determination. And lastly, it displayed my problem solving skills, like when we built Wayne Manor wrong, and almost half of the building was off-plain, and Me and Logan fixed it. This shows that I can get an A in this class. This shows how, with a little help, just how much I can do.
  • One example of a failure I had was when I was able to build the entire front of the X-mansion, only to see that the alignment was off. So, I had redo the entire thing. I was able to get half of the front done, and it looks a lot better than the first. So, I think I did a good job of improvising. it's kind of my own, diamond-like model of the X-mansion.
    • I chose this review because I showed an example of a failure that I had, and I think that is huge that I was able to reflect on it. It showed that I was able to improvise my way out of that failure, and in the end, I was able to succeed. It was a very good day, and I finished half of the front. I think this shows my improvization skills, and it shows about my failure, too. I did a pretty good job that week.
  • I was able to make 1 review of Superman #43 and post a picture to it. I think I did pretty good because I was able to finish one 4-paragraph review and upload the picture to it. It looks pretty good
    • I put this review on here because I think that this was a pivotal point of my project. I had finished my first writing review, and it was really good! I got an OK from mr. Whitmer, so when I put the picture of the book on and then text-wrapped it, it looked really good. That is why I chose this review as my top one.
  • "Finished Ben Hogan page. I learned that he was in the Air Force from 1943 to 1945. I also learned that he was the youngest of the bro's and sis's."
    • I liked the Fact that Ben Hogan was in the Air Force for 3 years. It is sort of weird that a golf player was an Air Force Pilot. In my view I think it is sort of awesome. He comes back from WW2, and is famous at golf. That is cool.
  • "I made and published my game, I can not wait for people to start playing it! It is 2 levels long, called Enemy Lines."
    • It was because I had published this extremely hard game. And I think people would like to play it.
  • "I think... that I got sidetracked since I only did 2 reviews instead of the 3-4 that I was going to do. I was doing another proposal, so I am going to pause my reviewing project for now."
    • I chose this review because it was pivotal in my project. It shows that I am pausing the project until spring time, when Sam and I are done with the 3D printer. After that I will revamp the comic reviews so I can continue doing what is awesome. I might get another project going in between the comic reviews and the 3D printer. So, In conclusion, I chose this project because it was pivotal in my project or projects because it was showing that I was pausing one, not ending one.

  • "We think that we did good. We finished our proposal and are cleared to do the go pro project, so now we need to equip them"
    • This reflection is good. And it is pivotal in my Go Pro project. This explains what is going to happen in the future, the Go pro project. And then shows the next step in the project, equipping the Go Pro, which was also pivotal in the project. It was also progressive and showed that we were moving on. So, in conclusion, I chose this reflection because it was good and pivotal in my project and those to come.

  • "I think we did good because we uploaded the videos on to his go pro account. So, I think we succeeded in our task"
    • This reflection shows that we are making progress in our project. Because now this says that we can make the video for Sam and move to my video. So, this is a pivotal point in my project, because we are making progress and moving on to the next step, which is to make my video. And that is why I chose this reflection.

  • I was just looking at essential comics that I need to buy and things I had missed in the last few months.
    • This reflection shows that I am re-starting an older project, which was comic reviews. So now I have gone back to making comic reviews instead of the Electric Guitar. So, this is a pivotal point in my projects, mainly because I'm switching projects, from the NXT Electric Guitar to the comic reviews. That is why I chose this project.
    Type 2
    • I liked the fact that I was able to input my failure for the day. It was like stepping into a new frontier, and I think I'm good at it. I now keep improving. I think that was like my jumping-on point for the beginning of the project. It was where I really started to work and get things done. It's getting better and better. It showed what I had to do, and I've done it.
  • Top Critiques:

  • It is a cool project. But I think all I saw was Kobe and Steph Curry highlights. I think you need to add a bit more variation in who is taking the shots, and those types of things.
    • I chose this critique because it shows the importance of variation in highlights like Basketball and almost all other sports that have highlights. You can't just have like three people in your highlights all the time and call it Basketball highlights, it'd have to be "Highlights of those 3 people". So, I told him that he needed to have a bit more variation with his project, cause he can't just do one player for highlights. That is why I chose this critique. It shows the importance of variation in highlights like these, that need more than just 2 people to be called "basketball highlights"
  • I think you could expand and go to other planets. That would be awesome! Flying sun missions and that stuff, that would be cool. And I think you could make some youtube videos, to show your progress. Overall it's a pretty cool project, though.
    • I chose this critique because it shows that you can go further with your project, and that you can document it as well. I helped him with the other idea of other planets, and was also thoughtful about the other planet idea. I was helpful in just saying that he could post his project to youtube, and then he would be documenting. This critique probably allowed him to look into expanding to other planets, and then actually expand. That is why I think this critique was good, It showed him to expand, and allowed him to document.

  • I think you are doing a cool project. But you are missing a few pieces of the project. I don't think you've gotten that far with the amount of work time. Try to use your time to the max. And if you know how to use Youtube to MP4, why don't you have a video? I think you should be using time better, and use all your resources to the best of your ability.
    • I thought this was a good critique because I pointed out what they weren't doing, and then gave them a solution. And, if he takes the solution, and puts it into his work, like managing time and stuff, then he would be getting places. I think I did good in that regard, and I was also very thorough with what I was critiquing, and i did good with that, too. that is why I like this critique and think it's one of the best.
  • I like the idea of how you stepped away from NBA highlights and just made a tutorial for beginners. There were points though where I couldn't hear your voice, as if you were mumbling. And sometimes it was hard to find out what you were trying to show in the video. So maybe you guys could do some sound editing and maybe put in some subtitles as to what you're going to teach at that moment in the video. But the basketball tutorial idea is very good and innovative.

    • I thought that this was a good critique because I was really thorough with this critique. Explaining whatever I thought could be potentially problematic, and explaining it thoroughly. I showed what he could do to fix the problem, as well. I also showed that I thought this was a good idea, and put it in the first and last sentence. So, I think that this critique was good because I was very thorough.
    • I thought this one was my best because I saw the problem and I gave him an option (and a good one at that) that he could use. I think with my critique he could use the webcam, and decrease the lighting. And posting it to YouTube would have let anyone in the world see that video. So that is why I recommended he post it to YouTube. So, in conclusion, I liked this one mainly because I gave an opinion on what to use, to make the project bigger.
  • "What are you going to do with your scarfs? Show how to make them, give them to friends, etc"
    • I thought this was good because I gave Madeline a few options on what to do. More people will see the scarf now, because, if she uses my critique, then her friends will know about them. And then showing how to make them on YouTube will show a lot, and I mean a lot more people how to make them. So in conclusion, I think this critique was good because I showed her what she can do to make the scarf more widespread.
  • "Where are you going to post it for people to see? Are you going to post it somewhere for people to see?It is also a very big challenge, and you probably shouldn't have put that canyon smack in the middle of the city. "
    • I thought this critique was good because I questioned Zach about where he is going to put his project. He could have just kept it there instead of blogging it, like I'm doing in engage. But, if he uses my critique, then people, other than this class will be able to see it. I also gave him some advice, like he shouldn't have put a huge canyon in the middle of the city. In conclusion, I think this was good because I showed Zach to post his progress somewhere other than the wiki.
