  • Bizarre Baking Project

    • I choose this project because i didn't know much of anything about baking. I knew that i would learn so much and there would be many different opportunities. The first idea we had, to make mug brownies kind of failed because it may or may not have exploded in the microwave. We ended up running out of time to do it too because we had to clean outage microwave. Although i knew it was a challenging project but we managed to finish. I hope next year we can somehow get ahold of an oven and bake during school instead of having to use microwaves. It was a fun project and i learned so much from it. I hope to continue it next year!
  • Lego Drone Project
    • I choose this project because i knew it would be a fun learn. It was super fun but there were ups and downs. There was also a ton of mistakes and challenges i had. I knew it would be a challenge and thats the main reason why i choose this project, because i knew i would learn from it. What i was doing was making a drop out of legos with directions, but the directions didn't always make sense, then i had to problem solve on my own. Like i said in my past reflections, i like coding and the mechanics. Thats what keeps the fun in for me and makes me ready to learn. I did in fact get the drone in the air, then i tried to fly it better and it always ended up crashing. My learning was a mostly based off of trial and error.
  • Scratch Game (Project 2)
    • I choose this project even thought its not finished because it still shows hard work and effort. Its a challenge but its not too hard, its the perfect level for me to learn how to code and script. Scratch is a website where you can create whatever is in your imagination. Its a way to have fun but learn at the same time. Im starting to learn the next step of coding by experimenting. I have always wanted to learn how to code really well and this is where I'm going to learn the basics. The project is not done quite yet, but it will be soon. Although, the game does not look too good I'm mainly making it to learn how to code. But It is still a challenge and challenges are not so easy.
  • Project 1 Raspberry Pi
    • I choose this project because it is a challenge, I don't know much about it so Im going to be learning a lot more than i already have from this project. it is so much fun though because I'm learning so much and i have always wanted to know about computers. The Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer that you hook up to a monitor and start programing it. Its really hard and i need lots of help with it. But i don't have much experience, thats how I'm learning. Im glad i choose this project and I'm happy what i have done so far.

Top Reflections:

  • "I used my time wisely today...
This week i did the best i could without a phone. Since i used my phone as a controller and i didn't bring it both days i had to switch to a kit with a controller. i did that the second day then spent the class trying to figure out how to connect the controller. I didn't figure it out though, or it wouldn't work, either one."
    • I used this reflection because it shows hoe i tried to problem solve everything. Even though it shows i didn't get a lot of work done it proves that i had to think around some problems. I really like this reflection because it shows things that went wrong and i ended up fixing them, but i didn't end up with enough time in class still.

    • I put this reflection because it shows the work i tried to do but i couldn't end up doing it because i had forgotten my materials. This just kind of proves that i did run into problems and i tried to work around them the best i could.
  • "I used my time wisely this week...this week I actually did a really good job. I scripted a whole lot because I made a lot of new sprites. Im actually making really good progress with the game. I decided every 10 cookies that you bake, you sell all ten, it would just make the game a lot easier for me to make. the way i se it there would be a lot a glitches and stuff like that if i didn't do that."
    • I choose this reflection because it shows all of the effort i put into this project. I work my hardest trying to learn how to code. It also shows some of the thought i put into it.
  • "Describe your progress towards your goalsSo far, out of the entire year i got further than i thought i would. I thought i would be way far behind but I'm not. Im actually a little bit ahead. I already got everything hooked up and now i just have to set it up."
    • I choose this reflection because it shows all of the work i have finished this year and how much i have accomplished. It also shows somewhat of what i have done so far this year too because it says "Everything i have hooked up". It just kind of gives you an small idea of what I've done this year.

Top Critiques:

  • "What did you use to learn how to make your project? Was it a website, video?"
    • I Chose this Critique because it proves i was paying attention and asks him about the basics of his projects. It shows i understood what he was saying and kind of just shows I try my best to understand what people are talking about.
  • "What encouraged you to use this recipe? Also, you did a really great job with the video!!"
    • i choose this critique because it shows that i was interested in what she was working on and courious on what she was doing. It shows i was interested and paying good attention to her presentation.
  • "What are you going to make out of the polymer clay that you are using? Does it have anything to do with the seasons or holidays again?"
    • I choose this critique because it shows that i was paying attention to what she was saying and it could help her if she forgot to add one of the things to her project.
  • "What encouraged you to use this recipe? Also, you did a really great job with the video!"
    • I choose this critique because it shows that i was paying attention because I asked a question that wasn't answered. I also added a comment to help support her.
Top Projects:
  • Scratch Candy!!!
    • Candy!!! is a very hard project to work on, its really challenging but thats what makes it really fun!! Scratch is a simple starters coding website so it helped me make this project with a whole bunch of little numbers and letters! But keep in mind that it is a work in progress so its not all that cool right now. Im working on candy going across the conveyer belt (If you saw the game you would know what I'm talking about.) but its pretty challenging and that is one of the reasons why i am doing this project, it is very fun and without a challenge i wouldn't be learning much.
  • Scratch The Great Escape
    • The Great Escape is a very fun project to work on, it is our only and greatest project so far, we have been working on it all year and we have actually started to get things going, the reason it took so long is because to get everything coded properly and get the graphics we want took longer we expected. me and my partner are very happy with our work, even though its a very slow work in progress, its coming along very well. Now were working on each item and what it does. (You will know when you play the project) Any way this is our only project and its still not done, but we are very happy with what we have. We learned a little more on how to code Scratch
  • Scratch The Great Escape
    • The great Escape is a very fun Project to work on, my partner and i have been working on our character walking and what should happen next, he receives a package, but its one of the hardest challenges I've had yet. We have some shortcuts that help us out but when its time to code the project there aren't many shortcuts. We are creating this project because its a fun experience along with a good lesson to learn about coding and maybe even art.

Top Reflections:

  • used my time wisely today....
i actually got A LOT done today, i pixelated almost the entire start of my game i only added a little bit of coding though, but I'm am really surprised that i got this much done this week. I pixelated 3 really big and main items for my project.
    • I really like this reflection because its a level 2 reflection and it shows how much work i can really get done in one day. But because i didn't code so much is unfortunate but it is still super good because painting all of the characters also takes a long time and i am super surprised i got all of that done.
  • We made pretty good progress today, we had fun when we were changing the graphics to all of the devices because there were no issues but when we were coding them we had some failure issues, for some reason we had trouble getting it to be clicked twice because its was the same sprite so we had to switch that up a little bit.
    • I choose this Reflection because it one of my longest reflections so it explains a lot and i worked hard on it and it shows what we have recently been doing to our project. It also shows that we have been working very hard and using our time wisely.
  • We couldn't get the main character to walk realistically because in the coding and the seconds were very hard to guess and to make it look good. But over time we got the hang of it and it made it look very smooth but it great.
    • I choose to make like this because it shows that were working hard with our project and were learning from our mistakes a lot. It also shows what we have recently been doing to our scratch project and that we have learned from our mistakes over time.
