  • 2016-2017 Alec and Richard's EV3
    • This quarter I chose to do EV3 with Richard because during the unit in Engage I thought that was really fun and I enjoyed programming and designing. I chose Richard as my partner because he knows a lot about the EV3s. When Richard and I did our tank battles version Richard won because he just free built, but I followed directions and those were not the best. Our second version is still a work in progress but our last video because the quarter is coming to a close. We have to return our EV3s soon because Mr. McCloud needs them back. When Richard and I make our final video we will hope to get a bunch of views.
  • 2016-2017 http://thinkeringstudio.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us/ADH5+Guitar

    • This quarter I chose to do guitar because it is a talent that I always wanted to learn and I did learn two songs. Another reason I chose to do this project was that I could play with my dad. Also it would help me with my patience because you don't get the song, note, or chord the first time, it takes like two days or any length deciding how experienced. Another program that I'm using is yousician because it is known to help guitarists like myself learn how to get rhythm and chords. The downside to doing the guitar is that when you want to learn a new song it takes time. When I learned my first song I wanted to show it to everyone because it was my first one, but when I learned more and more songs it just calmed down.
  • 2016-2017 Alec and Richard DIY
    • This quarter I chose to do a DIY project with Richard. This was our second most successful project with one other. The reason this project was successful was because we both worked to get the materials and to make the video with edits. This taught me how to work with a partner better because in school you work with partners a lot. Richard and I had all our DIYs but 1 be a fail, that one was the flip dude.
  • 2016-2017 Alec's Photography 101 Page
    • This quarter I chose to do photography as my project. The reason I chose to do photography was because I wanted to make cool backgrounds for my phone and mac. When I started to take our first photo I had to get some ideas from Brennen and Richard, they told me to take a photo using edits and filters, so I did. My photo turned out really good and really colorful. My next photo was on angles and point of view, this photo turned out really cool because I edited and out filters in the photo and focused on the object that I wanted. My next photo was a pano, the pano didn't work because it had too many pixels so I couldn't put it on my page. Next I took a photo of the grass when it was still frosted at the top so it looked cool and I made my phone at a different angle then normal.
  • 2015-2016 Alec's KSP Page
    • This quarter I chose to do a game application called KSP. KSP is were you make a plane, or rocket after you make them you have to fly them. This game challenges me to make a plane, or rocket that works, this is hard because it is exactly like real life. Right now Conor and I are trying to make a plane that actually flies and race them, I won this competition because I watched a video on it and used the exact same parts. Another competition that we do is try to fly to a different planet first. I will keep the same project next year.
  • 2015-2016 Alec's KSP Page
    • This quarter I chose to do a game designing application called KSP. KSP is were you make an airplane, rocket, or helicopter and fly them as long and far as you want. The reason I wanted to do this project is because a long time ago I saw Pierce doing this project and that looked cool so a little while later Brennen chose a new project and I didn't have a project, also the gaming project was getting old so I chose to do the KSP project. The macs with the KSP application were both being used so I had to buy a new application to go on a mac. After I bought the application it took two days to tell Mr. Whitmer the code! When the code came in the first plane that I built Pierce helped me make it and the plane went faster then the speed of sound! But the next few planes that I made all failed. Then I used some of the already made planes and tweaked it a little and it flew so good! Once I was using that plane and the plane was malfunctioning and smashed a building! The building crumpled to the ground, so the next few planes that I made smashed
buildings and I still continue to do that.
  • 2015-2016 Alec & Brennen Gaming Video's,http://thinkeringstudio.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us/Top+5+Screencasting+Tips+-+ADH5
    • This year I choose to do a gaming project with Brennen because Brennen and I both really like games and we both had some fun ones. The reason we did this project is because we always liked to watch youtube and we both said to each other "Do you want to do a gaming page and post it to youtube?" So that's how we got into this project. This project will help stretch our mind because we both don't know how to use youtube and we both didn't know how to make a screen recording. We made a signature logo and it is a capital A and then a capital B then below that is says GAMING in all caps we made this logo because we saw our favorite youtuber have a signature logo and we both wanted one so that we look more professional. We will look at the top charts every week and look at the games and reviews to see that we want to buy those games. Now that our youtube channel has gotten more out there we have like 11 subscribers and we probably will get more this is why we should get more subscribers.
  • 2015-2016 Alec & Brennen Gaming Video's, http://thinkeringstudio.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us/Top+5+Screencasting+Tips+-+ADH5
    • This year I chose this project because Brennen and I really like games and this seemed like a good project. Also Brennen and I would really learn about making and posting games to youtube. Brennen and I don't know how to use youtube and both of us don't use youtube for posting videos. We share a channel because he does not have a gmail and I do. To have a youtube channel you need a gmail to sign in. We also made our own youtube logo. The logo is a capital A with a capital B next to it, below the AB is Gaming. So our logo is AB Gaming. We have posted like five videos and all together we have like 50 hits. But only have two subscribers.
  • 2014-2015 adh5 rap1 Scratch
    • This year I have learned about my self that I have improved on guitar with Brennen because he has really pushed me to do better on the song Shippin up to Boston. On Shippin up to Boston he has really made get better on doing the solo part. Also I have got really better on making the Knex Roller Coaster with Richard and Pierce because we took turns on making the new project. Finally I have improved on making the scratch project because pierce has really pushed me to make new things and helped me make the impossible quiz by telling and showing me where to put some thing and when to but them in.
  • 2014-2015 adh5 rap1 Scratch
    • I have started on making a new project and have made some good progress. Richard and I have recently posted both of out games. We have not got any views since we posted it, but we will because mine was under draft. When I finished my project I started looking at other games that I might want to make, I found some flappy bird games that I am going to edit so that I will get some views.
  • 2014-2015 adh5 bjw2 Guitar
    • I have started working on my guitar and have made some progress. I have learned how to tune the guitar, and play part of the song I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Brennen is the main guitar and I am keeping the melody. When Brennen finished the main guitar I started the main guitar and he started the melody.
  • 2014-2015 knex roller coaster rap1 adh5 pmm1
    • Richard and I have started on our roller coaster. Right now it only goes in a circle. We have added some curved tracks to the straight tracks to that it will go longer on the track. We have let Pierce join the roller coaster project. So far Pierce has been a really good help.

Top Reflections:

  • What went well? Richard and I were able to show our video that we made during our maker share fair. The problems that we faced was not many people coming by and some of the people got bored because of the slow start. Richard and I were having people go tell others to go to our stand and we skipped to the interesting parts. If we were to change something we would change the video to having time lapse on the boring parts and we would find a better stand.
    • I chose this reflection because it took me a lot of time and I put a lot of work into it. Also it explains what went well bad etc.

  • What did you accomplish this week?

    • I did a lot of lessons is Steve Krenz and I also accomplished finished my yousician lesson but my hands started to hurt. The good thing about this week is that I learned two songs, we wish you a merry christmas, and america the beautiful. Another good thing about this week is that i have grown calluses.
      • I chose this reflection because it was long and well punctuated. Also I chose this reflection because it was explaining what the bad part about guitar was and how I have learned more chords. Another reason I chose this was because I named the two programs that I'm using the most when trying to learn chords and grow calluses. When I want to learn songs I go to youtube and search up a song and chords, another website that I use is guitar tab because it gives you more than one way to play a song to make sure that you know all the chords.
  • How successful were you this week?

    • We were very successful because we made our first DIY and we are looking for another one. We are thinking our next one is going to be a cardboard ATM. We want to do this because it seems really cool and fun.
      • I chose this one because it is really thoughtful and I took a lot of time to write it also we were about to do the ATM but we didn't at the last minute. Also I took a lot of time to write this. Another reason is that I thought this reflection was good because it is showing that Richard and I are having fun. Another reason that I chose this was because Richard and I almost did this but we didn't have the cardboard.
  • Today I/We learned...

How to edit the pictures and videos better. Also I edited a photo of the Niagara Falls. This was really cool because I took a cool photo and made it better. Also I watched some videos about taking and editing photos.
    • I chose this reflection because it is telling you that I took a photo of the Niagara Falls and that it was really cool because I edited it and it is a moving photo. This was really cool because I have only seen the Niagara Falls once and we got a photo.
  • I/We learned...
  • That to make a fast plane you need more than one engine. I learned this because Conor and I were doing a speed competition and both of us used two engines.Since I learned that I need more than one engine I can make a plane that flies.
    • I chose this reflection because it tells me what I'm doing right now. This helped me when I was doing my project because I didn't know how to make a plane that fly's and when I watched this video I learned how to make the plane fly.
  • I/We learned...

How to edit a plane that was made in the game also I learned how to make a screen shot. This was hard because the plane that I used was less structural and it will break easily. I can use youtube to help me make new things and acutely make a plane that will fly and not use a already made plane.
  • Stage 2 Reflection.
    • I chose this reflection because it shows what we are learning and it also shows that I made screenshots. This reflection shows detail and it also shows you that I have been working hard in this project. I think that this reflection is great because it shows plan evidence and reasoning inside of all those words.
  • "What skills did you use that you already had?"
  • We used the skill of how to record along with posting to youtube to help with the videos. Another thing that we used is that you should subscribe to other people and maybe they will subscribe back. Along with that we will tell people in our school that we know to watch our videos and subscribe. Some other ways are to comment on other peoples videos and they probably do the same for us.
    • I picked this one because this was one of the videos that got us more subscribers and likes and views. This reflection was good because it let more people in our school know that we have a youtube channel. This will help our youtube channel because when or if the big youtuber gives us a shoutout our youtube channel will be big like Madden Mobile Gods youtube channel.
  • I/We learned
How to make a screen record on a XBOX ONE. This will be useful because I am going over to Brennen's house and we are going to play the XBOX ONE and we can post a video on the screen cast. The XBOX ONE videos will be easier because more than one people can talk at once.
    • I picked this reflection because I was well put and it got to the point.
  • "What skills did you use that you already had?"
We used our making videos skill to make a video on a new player that Brennen got which is Rob Gronkowski in madden mobile. This will help us with more bigger youtubers will see our video which is called rob gronkowski and he is a popular tight end and he will attract bigger people to subscribe and see our bigger videos and shoutout.
    • I picked this reflection because this video had a lot of views and the reflection is a strong reflection was long and thoughtful plus no people said that our Madden Mobile team was weak.
  • "What skills did you use that you already had?" We used the skill of how to record along with posting to youtube to help with the videos. Another thing that we used is that you should subscribe to other people and maybe they will subscribe back. Along with that we will tell people in our school that we know to watch our videos and subscribe. Some other ways are to comment on other peoples videos and they probably do the same for us.
    • I picked this one because it tells you our strengths and what we know about gaming. Also we both figured out the basics about making and posting videos. We also both don't know how to use youtube that well. Another thing is that we share a youtube channel because he doesn't have a gmail account. This is my first time using youtube as a editor perspective.
  • "I/We Learned" "How to make the pico go in different direction. Also we learned how to make the pico expand and make the back round change."
    • I picked this one because this is the one that I found out how to make the back round change to get more attention for more views.
  • "Next time we will do the solo in a faster beat. I will try to learn the next part in the solo."
    • The next part in the solo is harder because my fingers are moving faster because Brennen is a faster guitar player.
  • "How to make the coaster more sturdy."
    • The old roller coaster is less sturdy to the new one because the coaster has no support and the cart is to heavy.
  • "Copy/paste a favorite reflection here."
    • Explain why you chose to highlight this project here.

Top Critique:

  • What I think you should do is get a full shot of the final project because it shows the audience what it looks like and if they want to do it it will look somewhat like that.

  • I think you should first create your channel and get all those kinks worked out first.
    • I chose this critique because Adam Meskouri was suggesting that I make a youtube channel on how to make the songs because he thought that that would help people. Another reason I chose this was because it was the best critique from all of them because it was a good helpful thought that I didn't end up doing because I didn't have the time. If I had more time I would do that idea.
    • I chose this critique because Adam Meskouri used my help and took a final glance at the final project. Also I chose this because I took a lot of time to make it. Another thing that shows why I gave him this critique was because he needed it so that his final project is better.
  • What I think you should do is get a full shot of the final project because it shows the audience what it looks like and if they want to do it it will look somewhat like that.

  • I chose this because I was giving Adam a nice critique that he should use to help him get more subscribers on his youtube channel be sue some people might want to see the final project. This is impotent because the final project is what counts and people need to see it.
  • "Are you doing just iPad games, or just computer games, or both"
  • I chose this one because it inspired us to do games on the XBOX ONE at brennens house. This would help us get subscribers because XBOX ONE videos are more popular and easier to record with your voice.
  • "Your videos are good but you have do give descriptions on the videos like what they are about."
  • This helps him because it tells him what people are looking for in his videos and that he did good on his project. He could remake the videos and add commentary to them so that the people wouldn't get lost in his videos. When the commentary comes in he would have no problems with his project except having new sports and making more videos.
